Butter-Finger

Calypso and cricket belong together. Bob Cattell and poet John Agard joined forces to create the Butter-Finger series, set somewhere in the Caribbean

Riccardo Small longs to be a great cricketer but he can’t catch, can’t bowl, can’t bat. He can however write and sing calypso and his inspirational songs help bring victory to the cricketers and musicians of Calypso CC  – the only club on the Island with its own band.

John Agard is a poet, performer and playwright, and winner of the Queen’s Medal for Poetry. He and Bob are shown in the Test Match Special box at Lord’s Cricket Ground
